Rooted is a 10-week discipleship experience that helps you grow closer to God and find community through a group. Whether you're exploring what it means to follow Jesus, ready to grow deeper in your faith or are looking for people to do life with, Rooted is for you.

This fall, our whole church family is walking through Rooted together as a church-wide discipleship experience.

Each Sunday, our sermons will align with the weekly Rooted themes, helping us open God’s Word together around the same questions and truths. Then, during the week, the conversation will continue in groups.

If you are already part of a Life Group, your group will walk through Rooted together. If you are not currently in a Life Group, register for one of the Monday Rooted Groups at either 1:30 pm or 6:30 pm for the duration of the series.

Together, we will open God’s Word, build deeper community, and take practical steps toward growing in Jesus.

Everyone participating in Rooted needs to register.

FAQ

  • Everyone participating in Rooted needs to register, whether you are already in a Life Group or not. This helps us prepare materials, track participation, and process payment.

    By saying yes to Rooted you are saying yes to God doing a new work in your life!

  • Yes. If your Life Group is doing Rooted, please register and select “My Life Group is doing Rooted.”

  • Please register for either the “Monday Daytime Rooted Group” or the “Monday Evening Rooted Group.”

    These groups are for people who are not currently in a Life Group and want to participate in Rooted for the series.

  • Please register for either the “Monday Daytime Rooted Group” or the “Monday Evening Rooted Group” so you can fully participate in the Rooted experience.

  • For weeks 1 (Sept. 14) and 8 (Nov. 2), everyone participating in Rooted will meet together on Monday evening at 6:30 pm. For the other weeks, you will meet at your regular Life Group time.

    If you are joining one of the Monday Rooted Groups for the series, you will meet at the Monday group time you registered for.

  • Rooted groups are prayerfully formed based on age and stage of life. Groups typically include 10–15 people. While we do our best to honour friend or leader requests, placements may vary based on availability.

  • Rooted is a 10-week experience. Each week your Rooted Group will meet for 2 hours. To enable the individual and the group to have the most effective experience possible, we ask that Rooted participants prioritize missing no more than two or three meetings.

  • Grounded in God’s word, the seven rhythms are the foundation of the Rooted experience. Each of these rhythms was practiced by the early church in Acts 2. The seven rhythms include: 

    • Daily devotion (Acts 2:42,46)

    • Prayer (Acts 2:42)

    • Repentance (Acts 2:37-39)

    • Sacrificial generosity (Acts 2:44-45)

    • Serve the community (Acts 2:44-45)

    • Share your story (Acts 2:24-36)

    • Worship (Acts 2:26-28, 46-47)
