ROOTED sERVE EXPERIENCES

The Rooted serve experience is an opportunity for your group to put into action what you’ve learned in weeks six and seven by discovering and using your spiritual gifts. Whether you create your own “See a Need, Meet a Need” project or participate in an organized opportunity, you'll have the chance to be the hands and feet of Jesus in your community.

ORGANIZED SERVE EXPERIENCES

Registration for these serving experiences will open on September 29, but spots are limited. When projects are full, they will no longer appear on the registration form. Please select another project if the one you are looking for is no longer open.

  • When: Thursday, October 15, 2026 – Lunchtime

    Where: Salvation Army, 4 Mary St E, Huntsville, ON P1H 1P2

    Point of Contact: Krystal Fuller

    Number of Groups Needed: 1 (Up to 8-10 people)

    Description: Faith Baptist Church is hosting its monthly Seniors Luncheon for approximately 60 seniors. This Rooted Serve Experience is an opportunity to show Christ’s love through hospitality, service, and meaningful fellowship. Volunteers will help serve lunch, enjoy a meal and conversation with our seniors, and assist with cleanup following the event.

    Next Steps:

    • Sign up to volunteer for the Seniors Luncheon.

    • Come ready to serve, connect, and enjoy meaningful fellowship with our seniors.

    • Celebrate together as a group and reflect on how God worked through your time serving alongside one another.

  • When: To be arranged with the CAP

    Where: Various locations in Huntsville, ON

    Number of Groups Needed: 3 (1 group per project)

    Description: As a volunteer, you will provide practical assistance to individuals in our community who could benefit from a helping hand. These projects involve cleaning, organizing, and preparing indoor and outdoor spaces, helping individuals care for their homes and properties.

  • Don’t worry if you cannot attend one of the organized service opportunities, your group will be able to register for a “See a Need, Meet a Need” project! These projects are organized and created by you and your group to help meet the needs of the people that you may know. Use this helpful resource to get started “See a Need, Meet a Need” and reach out to us if you are still having trouble.

  • Yes, every Rooted group should be registered by their leader for 1 opportunity. This is either a “See a Need, Meet a Need” project or one of the curated projects.

  • Your Rooted leader will sign up your whole group for a service project together. The Rooted serve experience is all about serving in community!

  • Some service projects can bring families. If a project is family friendly, it is indicated in the description.

  • All projects will provide any necessary training the day of the opportunity.

  • Every group will only participate in 1 service project.
