Christine’s Place provides compassionate, practical support to women and families in our community. This Rooted Serve Experience is an opportunity to show Christ’s love through practical service by helping Christine’s Place with packing Hope Kits for families that experience the loss of a child.

A detailed list of items needed for each Hope Kit will be provided. Your group will be responsible for purchasing the items and choosing a time to gather together to pack the kits. Since there is no scheduled packing date, your group can complete this Serve Experience at a time that works best for you.

Description:
Faith Baptist Church has recently partnered with FAIR in supporting two children’s ministries: JOY Ministries in the Dominican Republic and Clementia Life Centre in Beirut, Lebanon. Through these partnerships, our church is sponsoring 24 children in total.

This Rooted Serve Experience gives your group the opportunity to go one step further by “adopting” one of these children in a meaningful and ongoing way. Adoption does not involve additional financial sponsorship. Instead, your group will receive updates about the ministry and the child, correspond with them two or three times each year through email or short video messages, and commit to regularly praying for them.

Several children are still waiting to be adopted by a group, family, or individual.

These projects are organized and created by you and your group to help meet the needs of the people that you may know. Yes, every Rooted group should be registered by their leader for 1 opportunity. This is either a “See a Need, Meet a Need” project or one of the curated projects.

Your Rooted leader will sign up your whole group for a service project together. The Rooted serve experience is all about serving in community!

Some service projects can bring families. If a project is family friendly, it is indicated in the description.

All projects will provide any necessary training the day of the opportunity.

Every group will only participate in 1 service project.
